Mulberry Pop-Ups

Our Mulberry Pop-Ups bring the fruity Mulberry flavour from our wafters into a classic round, buoyant hookbait.

Available in 12mm and 15mm, they give you another way to fish with your favourite flavour, whether you’re presenting a single hookbait or fishing over a baited area. Pair them with Mulberry Flat Spot to carry the same flavour through your approach.

CLASSIC MULBERRY FLAVOUR

If you love our Mulberry Wafters, these give you the same flavour in a round pop-up. An ideal option when you want to change your presentation while keeping your flavour consistent.

A RAISED HOOKBAIT PRESENTATION

Unlike a bottom bait, a pop-up is designed to float. When balanced correctly with your rig, it holds the hookbait above the lakebed, helping keep it clear of light debris and making it easier for passing carp to pick out.

Your rig and the amount of counterweight you use determine how high the hookbait sits.

ROUND SHAPE IN TWO SIZES

Choose 12mm for a smaller, more subtle hookbait or 15mm when you want a larger offering. The classic round shape suits a range of pop-up presentations, including Ronnie/spinner, hinge and chod rigs, provided the bait’s buoyancy is suitable for your chosen setup.

PAIR WITH MULBERRY FLAT SPOT

Match your hookbait with Mulberry Flat Spot for a coordinated Mulberry approach, combining the flavour of your pop-up with a matching liquid attractor.

Top tip: Always test your completed rig in the margins before casting. Hook size, rig components and added liquid can all affect how your pop-up sits, so adjust your counterweight to achieve the presentation you want.

Delivery and returns

Standard £4.50, free over £70 (usually 2–3 working days). Express £6.25 (usually next working day). We aim to dispatch orders placed before 7:30am Mon–Fri the same day. Please note our couriers don't collect parcels from us on bank holidays. Freezer orders leave on a next-day service, Monday to Thursday only, so they aren't left with couriers over the weekend. Questions about this range.

Which presentation should I use?

Pop-ups sit up off the bottom, so they're the choice over silt, light weed or anything that could mask a bait. Wafters sit balanced — the most natural option and the one most people fish by default. Bottom baits are for clean, firm spots. Hard hookers are for when nuisance fish or a long overnight wait would strip a softer bait.

Do I need to match my hook bait to my boilie?

It helps when fish are feeding confidently — Match The Hatch pop-ups and wafters carry the same OG Fish and OG Fruit & Nut profiles as the boilies, so nothing on the hook smells out of place. On pressured water, the opposite can work better: a fluoro bait standing out over a bed of free offerings.

What sizes do they come in?

Sizes are matched to the presentation rather than offered across the board. Hard Hookers come in 14mm and 18mm — bigger baits that stand up to nuisance fish and hold their shape through a long wait. Magic Bean Wafters and the pop-ups come in 12mm and 15mm, so you can drop down for wary fish or go up for a bigger visual target. Match The Hatch Wafters and Lightweight Bottom Baits are 14mm, sized to sit alongside 14mm boilies as a natural-looking hook bait.

How long do they last once opened?

Keep the lid on and they'll stay usable through the season. If you glug them, they'll keep taking on liquid the longer they sit — a pot topped up before a session will be leaking harder by the time you get there.

Can I fish these on zigs or on the surface?

Zigs and surface fishing have their own baits in the range: Magic Bean Zigs and Leaky Zigs for the upper layers. For surface fishing, pop-ups and wafters can work too.
